The colors were what I was most concerned about, but they look good!

My Sigma 8-16 is very sharp. But I seldom use the AF. So something I can shoot nearly 2 stops faster, probably with better colors, is very attractive.

In the past few days I noticed that I'm having difficulties connecting to flickr servers. The forum messages then just display the text but no images. Am I the only one with these issues?

So, well worn question I am sure but I cannot seem to locate the answer easily. Difference between Samyang, Bower, and Roki? I am weighing a 14mm vs. 16mm. If you could have only one, which would it be?

Sorry for the late reply--I'm on a Mac, same behaviour with Firefox and Safari. I tend to think now that it has to do with the slow internet connection I'm having these last days. Apparently the flickr servers give up after a while if the communication is too slow.

There is only one F/2 Samy

One advantage of the ultra fast Samyang 16mm F/2 is its almost stop action capabilities in the dark. Sharpness and vignetting are well controlled in this full aperture test in deep twilight. Eight seconds at f/2 using ISO 2000. Visually, the sky was much darker than seen here. My copy seems sharpest from f/2 through f/4 and very good from f/5.6 to f/8. Uniform sharpness is great by f/4. True infinity is right on the mark and was set manually for this shot.

If the lenses are the same, can someone tell me why the Rokinon 14/ 2.8 is $299, the Samyang 14/ 2.8 is $359, and the Bower 14/ 2.8 is $379 at B&H? I am trying to decide between the 14 and the 16 and the price difference from 14 to 16 for the Samyang and Bower is not that much. I am assuming all three have an 'A' setting.

The lenses are all the same. I don't really have a good explanation for the price variations. I just look for what I can get for the least money. I have never seen one of the new generation of Samyang lenses (the lenses released starting with the 85mm f/1.4) for Pentax which did not have an 'A' setting, so them all having it should be a safe assumption.

That is what I thought. B&H has them priced that way whereas Adorama has them priced a different way with the Samyang version being the lowest, if I remember correctly. These are all APS-C designed right? So, I will get vignetting if I slap it on one of film bodies?
