Since this lens is made in several mounts it may be related to that.
Just guessing, maybe it is different for IF lenses?

I wound up using the 85mm for my Fourth of July fireworks shots. It performed very well.

Amazing! Love the colors. So far, the most beautiful fireworks shot I've ever seen. Wish I can capture a shot like that.

Part of it may have been the post-work - I used a bit of the de-haze feature in Lightroom and it helped cut the murk to make the colors pop.

The 135/2 can be really sharp, even at 2.0!

The depth of field is really thin at 1.4 but I like the look you cn achieve shooting at that aperture. Here is an example with my two dogs playing:
I also noticed what looks like ghosting in the lower right corner of the frame. This was the only image I've seen it happen with so I'm dismissing it.

This seems too pronounced to me for ghosting--rather like some object getting in the way. Nice and very successful shot anyway given the difficulty of minimal DOF!

Probably dust.

At f/1.4 it could be anything - if its close enough it'll turn into a complete blur at that aperture.

To me it just looks like an object, maybe someone's hand, was at the edge of the lens' FoV. I would only worry if it happens consistently. Nice photo, though! Cute little dogs.

I love seeing what you all have posted in this thread! I've enjoyed using the 14 2.8, and the 50 and 135 recently have caught my gaze. Samyang has really been on their game with the update and release of this year's lenses.

Two of the 5 shots that I took handheld on the kayak Monday night using the Samyang 10mm rectilinear. I just received the lens on monday. More practice, and less kayak movement is needed, lol.

Nice! Yeah, movement is a problem with boats in general, even big ones, but you did quite well

Hi, I have just received a Bower edition of the Sammy 14mm and have been out and about the last couple of days testing with my K5ii. I have been trying to dial in
infinity and best aperture. It seems infinity is between the 2 & 3 metre mark on the distance scale and the sharpest images i've got so far is at f4 & f8. The first few
pics taken on gloomy days(we are in the middle of winter here) seem to be ok. Today we got some sunshine so I took a couple of pics testing for flare. After downloading
I noticed this weird banding in the sky. What I would like to Know is, if this is normal for this kind of lens or is it a dud?
I would like to keep this lens(if it's not a dud) but I do have the option of returning it for a full refund(they won't do an exchange as it was the last one in stock and they
no longer do business with the supplier). So what do you more informed folk think? Is it a keeper or do I return it?
