cool! have a 75-300 sigma (quite old) and even with shake reduction cannot get anything in focus decently

---------- Post added 07-22-15 at 05:32 PM ----------

also recently got a new to me sigma 28-80, 1:2 and have been having fun with it and close up filters on my K-r or K-50, mostly the K-r
here's the link to an album I have of shots using this set-up

I used the Spotmatic II with Sears 135 3.5 M42 and Nikon 4T close up lens to shoot my Minolta 7000. Some are cropped a tad. Film is Ilford HP5.

Canon FD 50/1.8 reversed on (empty) SMC-A 50/2

I just put this old Canon on the A 50 from which I removed all the glass elementss, but it still retains auto aperture and I'm happy with some first tests (no vignetting, sharp pictures).

This Canon (new) FD lens is good for reverse work for many reasons:

- it is cheap,
- it's diameter is somewheat bigger then many Pentax lenses (I managed to glue the deglassed 49 mm filter in reverse position into its lens barrel after remowing name plate)

- it is fast, so we do not loose much light,
- it is light, so it can be used as a stacked lens,
- it is quite short.

Below I post full frame and 100% crop (6MP).

No--I'm not even going to try. It takes skill, work and passion to create something like that. All I've got is macro lenses.
I don't know if it's be possible for Ricoh to put a Built in Stacking program in there camera?

This is one of my attempts at macro. Its done with a reversed 28mm/3.5 pentax-M on extension tubes. Its quite noisy as I was doing this handheld without flash, as I dont have a tripod and/or diffuser yet. Fortunately the fly kept still for a few seconds. Any recommendations to improve are appreciated!

After I fed the birds and had breakfast and a coffee, cleaned up the kitchen etc, I went back to the bedroom window for a few more.
More universes on my bedroom, window...

K-5, Tamron 90 Macro
100 ISO, ƒ11, AV

These last two were taken when I first woke up. Sigma 70 macro and K-5.

"A small flaw in the plan." (Tiny notch in the rim of one of the nuts on my spanner wrench.)

Pentax K-5 with 35mm Super Takumar f/3.5 inverted on M42-49mm reverse adapter ("Yukon" brand) and Pentax-K/M42 adapter; f/9.5; 1/60, ISO400.

And here is the same thing with the DA 15mm f/4.0 Limited (aperture lever manually held wide open for effective f/4.0; 1/60 sec; ISO 400).

The focus is not the best on the second shot and there's at least one dust particle intruding, but I mainly threw it in to see just what would happen. The level of magnification is impressive, and this gives me to wonder whether it's possible to use the 10-17 fisheye at the short end to get even more impressive results. Or does the front element extend too far forward?

One last kick at the can, going from the SImga 70-300 and the Big Picture to some Macro images.

Sigma 70-300 an K20D
A few more ice images....

Using the Tamron 90 with the 1.7 AF adapter for some detail images. The detail is such that they look much better big.

For the whole two day series.

These days I only come here for ice... but, spring is just around the corner... I keep telling myself that.

K-3 and Sigma 70 macro.

100 ISO, ƒ5.6 to ƒ16, AV

As requested by the house artistic director. "There's interesting ice this morning, you should take some pictures."
