Hi I have a k3 and was wanting to get a few m42 lens and I found this .What is a good price for each lens and what do I need to make it fit my k3 . I know its some type of adopter but I wanted to make sure I got the right one . Would someone put a link to the adopter I need to make this lens work . I would suggest this one. I have it and it's worth the extra investment IMHO ... Pentax Mount Adapter K reviews - Pentax Camera Accessory Review Database

You can also get cheap Chinese ones, but try to get one without a flange, otherwise you risk loosing infinity focus ...

Another solution is to buy two cheap Chinese adapters, then remove the spring and attach one each to each lens semi-permanently by using a spot of Loctite.

Thanks Jean . Does anyone know what Yashica body has the pentax k mount and if it does hove the k mount can it be used on pentax cameras . Thanks

To my knowledge Yashica had M42 mounts and then went to their own bayonet system which looks a bit like a Pentax k-mount, but will not interchange.

I have never heard of any one putting a k-mount lens on a Yashica bayonet mount SLR. I guess that it could be done ...

One can fit (via a "Dremel modification") a Yashica ML bayonet lens to fit a k-mount (D)SLR ... see my ugly mod here : Yashica 50mm f1.4 ML - "RioRico" modification to PK mount Lens Reviews - Miscellaneous Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database
