F1.4, ISO 1600. I am just amazed how low light I could get that shot done, the sun had just set and it was barely light outside...

Just stunning sharpness from this lens, my "Special Lady" (SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.2), it never fails to deliver.

N.B. Must use it more often.

Canon FD 55 mm f 1.2 converted to K-mount

Forum member alisant converted my Canon FD 55 mm f 1.2 to K-mount while preserving M-type functionality. It is a great lens both for DOF and low-light effects as well as for real sharpness when stopped down to 5.6 or 8.0. Here are three photos from the lens and K-7.

First two shots are at f 1.2.

Third shot is amazing. It was taken about from my front porch at 4:00 a.m., well before first light, at least two hours before sunup, no moon. With the naked eye, I could see nothing. This was handheld, and obviously would have been better on a tripod. See EXIF for exact shutter speed, but I seem to remember about 2.0 seconds.

Chinon 50/1.7 MC K mount. A brilliant lens that spends most of its time mounted on a Chinon CE-5. Sharp and delivers particularly nice colours.

SMC Pentax M 50mm f1.7 (Used Silkypix just for cropping and correcting exposure)

Will come back to this club as soon as I receive my K 55mm f2 and my K 55mm f1.8

Very nice. Obviously the M50/f2 doesn't get the respect it deserves, as shown here.

Nice lens. I like the colours, bokeh and contrast. It renders the subject quite beautifully. Nice shots too.

Thanks Peter ... and nice DA 50/1.8 capture. I have one coming from Adam that I won on PF back in February. Pentax was horribly slow in getting the 50 to Adam so he could send it on to me. I look forward to using it. J
