I did put something together once to stop it down to roughly f/2.8 but it didn't last long before it fell off. I don't want to permanently alter it because I want to be able to use it on M42 film cameras without problems.
I've put it up for sale as I recently got a 55mm f/1.4 that does have an A/M switch but it's not as well made as the Yashinon, so it's not as nice to use. It's such a shame they omitted the A/M switch on this model.
