Aye she's still getting assistance from me, not really standing on her on two feet just yet.

Probationary Membership

I feel that it's probably time to welcome a new "Lady" to the Harem... named now as my "Retro Lady" (SMC Pentax-M 40mm F2.8), albeit on a probationary basis initially... some shots this morning from the "Lost Garden" here on the Kerrowdown Estate, has for me finally confirmed her place amongst the others.

The DA 21 turned out to be an excellent tool for photographing free-ranging cows in the mountains!

Man, I love the DA 40mm 2.8 Limited. I guess I never knew that 40mm was going to be such a comfortable focal length on APS-C. And the lens is always ready to try whatever you want.

Like, I can take this weird DOF-y shot of frosty leaves:

And then I can turn around and take this very composed picture I was tempted to offer to the cafe as an advertisement:

Also, did I mention that I can stick my camera body with the lens on in a neoprene sleeve and always have it in my EDC bag?

Pancake party...

Went a bit overboard in a fit of LBA. Can’t justify keeping them all, so now I have to chose which ones to sell.

You're missing the Zeiss Tessar 40mm f4.5 and Ricoh 45mm

My relatively new (to me) SMC-DA 40mm Ltd seems to be living semi-permanently on my new KP - and it accompanies me to many places, and at all hours, including this midnight shot of...the photographer himself.
