I recently acquired a nice copy of the M28/3.5 and was doing some testing with it this evening in the backyard. Taken with an *istD (f/8 I think). Minimal PP was done - and no sharpening!

I cannot say enough about my Rikenon-P 28/2.8, it was my best lens for so long... now I have the DA40 (and DA70 coming) to give it a run. For the money though, nothing matches it.

Up close (but also cropped)

Far away, with polarizer

great color and detail!

.. always great fun with it!

Great images folks. Really like the 28mm on a DSLR.
I am lovin' my Porst Weitwinkel Auto F 28mm f2.8 which I got last year here on PF.
A few examples from the last year.

Thanks repaap. I normally don't think of the M28/3.5 as a 'bokeh machine', but that lens just happened to be on the camera at the time

Wow, where was this thread when I went looking for it last year? I tend to shoot at 28mm a LOT. Mostly because I have a 28-90mm zoom I shoot wide open, and I have a cheapo 28mm prime I love to death.

These are all with the Sears 28mm f/2.8 macro

Seriously afflicted with a cheap form of LBA as soon as I acquired my K-01, I've since bought a bunch of cheapo 28mm's from evilbay, which then add up to some real money that might have better gone to something like DA 21 Manual lenses are great on the K-01, whenever I can clearly see the LCD. And I really love 28mm - very versatile. I find this Rokinon 28mm f2.8 very sharp and has nice color. It might have a bit more distortion than usual, but I haven't shot any brick wall to really find out. Here're a couple shots from Benicia, CA with it, processed in Lightroom.

Mounted on my K30.
