pepperberry, is the Spiratone your new favorite 28? It seems very comparable in IQ to the Sigma 28 EX.

while it is not my new favorite 28, nor is it comparable to my Sigma 28... I am using it for the month in the Single In Challenge...

this 28, with its older coatings, manual aperture, and manual focus, has a lot of potential.. I'd put it ahead of previous MF 28's I've had, but it doesn't come close to my Sigma 28...

You're getting good images with it. I wonder how it compares to my Kiron 28 f2. I could see the coatings being deficient compared to what other lenses offer.

thank you - my work so far has been the result of careful light management/post processing...

That's pepperberry's eye. He could get amazing images with an old Coke bottle bottom. Dang it, don't'cha almost hate him sometimes!

for comparison purposes, I had the Sigma 28mm f1.8 EX DG in the garden this afternoon....

these are shots that I would not have if I had attempted them with the Spiratone 28/2...
