I have a Tokina 28-70mm 2.6-28 that was my daily lens for years. I stopped using it due to its weight and slow auto-focus, plus it was not wide enough for me when i went digital. I now use a 16-45mm for day to day use, and a 16-50mm 2.8 for high quality stuff.
Yeah, it must weight a lot. It's still on my wish list. (Cheaper than DA* I belive) I'd love to see you work with it IF youd like to join the club.

Its actually on my list of lenses to sell. It looks like this lens goes for less than the 15-50mm, but more than the 16-45mm.

I don't have any images to show, as I've almost never used this lens on digital. Certainly not in the past 4 years. I'll look back and see if I can find anything worth sharing.

Here are 2 shots taken in 2004 with the *ist-D (remember that one?)

The first pic was taken on a across the street from Harvard University. It was the first time I'd seen a mention of an *ist-D anywhere non-Pentax related. The second pic is just a random little stream in the Catskills, NY.

Another one

Nice thread.
I picked up a 235 in Hong Kong some years back......it was the only Pentax mount in a sea of Nikon lenses and I think the shop owner wanted it gone. Wont tell you what I paid for it.

It has done a couple of trips with me and here it is being used as a landscape lens.

Cheers.

I can't remember, my first digital pentax was *Ist DS. I still use it every now and then. Nice capture!

Thanks a lot for your comments jackassp and repaap. Some more shots with the 20-35 f/2,8 taken in Budapest and Praha two years ago. It is indeed my favourite lens for landscape and also some architecture shots , even tough 20 mm. itīs no so wide in APS-c.The only inconvenient iīve found out is the AF/MF clutch , which is difficult to move sometimes.
My neext target in Tokina ATX-pro should be 28-70 f/2,6-2,8 , but it is relly very rare in Pentax K-mount and expensive in e-bay Europe.

Cheers

But well worth it if you can get a good copy.
The Tamron 28-75 F2.8 is very close in terms of IQ.

I took the Tokina 235 out for a walk today, very bright sunlight, very hot conditions ( 39C )

Disused reservoir

And an older shot, from August 2011, taken @24mm

Car Park

Nice thread and some impressive shots. I have the AT-X Pro 280 28-80/2.8, which I bought a few years ago when I was still shooting film on a Pentax ZX-5n and ME Super. I have only mounted it on my K-5 though, no shots yet, since I'm primarily using the 18-55 WR kit lens at the moment. I may need to take the Pro out soon and see how it shoots on my K-5...
