The "rediscovered" lens club

I would like to start this club because of my experience... I put away my M 135 3.5 thinking it wasn't that good, then took it out the other day to discover that it is one heck of a performer!
If anyone had a lens in the closet like my experience, please post some shots with discriptions

thanks

my start

it rocks in this kind of light, and the skin tones are right on!

thanks

randy

"rediscovered"?

Oh, you mean those that elicit the comment "You want another WHAT?! Why you've got a whole dusty shelf full of those things you haven't touched in years!".

I have one of those 135/3.5s also, mine needs to be close to f/5.6 to really shine. Great IQ/in³ that's for sure!

My wonder-lens continues to be the Rikenon-P 28mm f/2.8. It's so good it messes up my kit in that FL range, as I let my DA35/2.4 go & it's too close to give the DA21 enough use too. I always get great shots with it. When it came time for the group photo at our family campout, I chose the Rikenon 28.

The $35 price tag is nice too

Or how about,
"What can that one do that the other ones can't, cause you already have some that say 28mm on them and so does the one you want to buy??"
"Who's that at the door?"
"uuuhhh don't worry about it, they had the wrong number!"

I guess my girlfriend's Jupiter 37A would classify as rediscovered (see this thread for more details), so I will cross-post some pictures from the Soviet Lens club taken since it had the repair.

The one that came with the camera is good enough, you can't possibly need anything else

Slip, is that a CX650E I see in your signature? I run the Honda CX500 and GL500 Forum, good to meet you. You're the only other CX-Pentaxian I've met!

I thought you might have been "that" chopper Charles!
I do wonder on cx-gl site from time to time. I think I joined 5-6 years ago.
Great to meet you as well!
Have you or are you ever going to PA for the Amish run?

Cheers

Why go all the way to PA for the Amish? Upstate NY has plenty, especially the Finger Lakes.

I do plan to go to to the amish rally this year. It's a long ride for me, but I'll be there. Are you in the area?

Charles.
