Tina, these are really nice shots. Nice compositions and bokeh. The first shot is so serene. That 35 is so capable. Lookin' good. Freddy

This is one from my "Family" Album. I did a photo shoot with my grandchildren Easter weekend. Even the crusties on her face turned out good. lol I was amazed we were able to get the kids to sit still long enough to get pictures. Last year we tried, and it was a total fiasco. lol (OK, her hair is messed up, but we had been out at the park a while.)

Tina THAT'S WONDERFUL. Tell me that DA35 isn't a portrait lens! A perfect shot of a lovely child, with charming bokeh in the background. A+ Tina.
As a grandfather myself, you know I love this shot. Thanks for the treat. Freddy

Thank you so much! The ones taken with this lens were the best of the day, I believe. I wish I would have used it for the whole shoot.

Perfect shots from the amazing 35, plainfaced. Can't beat this lens for fun, convenience and great optics. Freddy

I am using this lens more and more and loving it. Question: where is this lens sharp/ where is its sweet spot? Also, where is it sharp while still delivering bokeh that removes distracting objects in the background. I use this at car shows/ meets and being able to get a sharp shot of an ornament or a dash cluster while blurring other things out is important to me.

Mine is sharp right from f/2.4, just getting sharper by stopping down. and it's peak is between f/4 and f/8
But it's bokeh is smooth until f/3.5!? and on to f/4 and further f/5.6 it's bokeh is sometimes funky!
All in all I don't choose aperture based on sharpness on this lens specially! so use the aperture suites the shot.

I have had good results with 2.4 but just curious as to what else others think.
