In a few months I'm planning to shoot a small family wedding party on a local boat cruise around Manhattan. The 35 will be ideal for this occasion, with its great low-light capability. The boat is well-lit so I should get great results.
If I have to I'll use my onboard flash for a little fill light, but probably won't need it. Freddy

I like the look of the flowers against the blue sky. Nice shot, Kcupp. Who knew sugarcanes had flowers. Must be a pretty site to see a whole field of them. Freddy

I posted a series in the K5-ii thread https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/115-pentax-k-5/123731-no-more-tests-just-...ml#post2857553

Yeps the flowers mean its the best time for harvest as the sugar is at maximum level.

Tina, you'll get to it. And I'm sure they will be great shots. Looking forward to seeing them. Freddy
PS. I'll be taking some family wedding shots on a cruise around Manhattan in August. I'll be sure to post
a couple of them. They'll be taken with my trusty 35. I've been so busy processing a load of Art Graffiti
shots I've taken with my Da16-45 wide angle lens that I haven't given my 35 the attention it deserves.

CR, wonderfully luminous bokeh from that 35. Floral branch is nicely in focus with nice raindrops. I know you're very pleased with this shot
I noticed some really gorgeous Yarrow flowers on one of our lawns. When I come home from the doctor's office Ill run down with my 35 and see what I get.
I hope I have good sun at about 3:30. Freddy

Actually I took those after we had a lot of rain, and the sun wasn't out. I feel the light is best when the sun's not out but it's still nice and bright.

Good luck with the yarrow flowers, Freddy! Let us know what you get!

Yarrow plants

I finally hit my front lawn this morning with a bright early sun, looking for some "Yarrow with bokeh".
Here are a few shots I took. Only PP done was to adjust contrast and brightness because I was
experimenting with 800 ISO and 1600 Iso. Glad I got something done with my Plastic 35 (my little baby).

Thanks, CR. Yeah, the colors are so rich right out of the 35. Pentax really struck gold with this glass. Freddy
