Is anyone willing to post pics from this lens with and without a hood in varying lighting?

I want to see how much a hood is needed here.

I also am interested in a comparison with the FA35. I know PF will be better controlled with the DA35, but I'm interested also in the sharpness.

This one was wide open from the drivers window of a running car, I was sitting at a stop light:

Here's a couple wide-open shots from a dog walk on an overcast day last week. (the hood was on!) I didn't mean to shoot the longer shot wide-open, but this lens is very sharp indeed.

I'm really liking this lens - simple, optically great, good colours, fast AF:

Good to see this thread got started. The thing about being bought fairly late in my lens aquisitions is it has a lot of good glass to compete with. That being said it's slowly developing a portfolio. There are many shoots where the best images come from this lens, regardless of what else we used.

And another nine images here.

Here's a few more I took during the first snow.

Norm, I really like the photo with the red leaf. Do you have any other crops? I think it would look really cool if you cut the green plants on the top, but that's just my opinion. The red/white contrast is really cool but the green is a bit distracting, again just my personal opinion!

You start messing around, try some new cropping, new colour values, then your wife comes and looks over your shoulder and you end up with a whole new picture.
