I can join this club now. Picked this lens up 2nd hand and a DA18-135mm for $365 which is a bargain...Mostly for the zoom. Regardless, this is my first prime, so will be giving it a good workout soon enough.

Haven't had a chance to go out today and give it a spin. Just a few shots around home.

I've been spending a bit more time with the 35 recently. Lovely lens.

By pure luck, I got Dexter to sit still for 10 seconds to catch this shot. After some fine tuning in lightroom, I loved the results.

I love how well the K30 (and the 35 f/2.4, of course) raw files respond to post-processing.

Spent a weekend with a group of DJ mates from around the country on the Gold Coast last weekend. We hired an apartment and essentially partied for 4 days. Very hard trying to photograph someone dancing and moving in usually low light conditions. The plastic fantastic along with FA77 were my my most used lenses over the weekend.

Also got a bit creative with my shots. The blurriness is quite intentional, using the slow sync flash.

the plastic wonder is great for mix session.

if you use flash, i suggest to use Tv instead of Av, with 100 iso. It will put the lens wide open most of the time and you can take a 1/180 spead to prevent shadow movement (i'm not very fond of it ) or use a bounce flash

Cheers. But freezing a moment and getting a happy snap was not the purpose here (did get plenty of them too). The slow sync flash and blurring was intentional. As was the twist of the camera during the shutter opening on the last pic.
