Thanks very much CR. In its own way, the 35 is one of the unsung treasures in the Pentax catalogue.

Gave the Astrotracer a whirl on the K3ii last night with the plastic fantastic, I've used it before on my K50, I have to say the K3 is much easier to set up. Taken about half an hour up the freeway into the Adelaide hills

it was yesterday night, next to "Pont de Cheviré" (Cheviré's bridge), Nantes city
DA35 F2.4, F7.1, vertical 4/3 one is a 3 frames stitch

Looks good to me! What are your impressions re this lens for astro?

I quite like it, I've only used it a couple of times for Astro, and only with a quick setup, not really nailing focus like I should, however it still produces decent results.

This was with the K50, just before the light started poking above the hill under where we were camping
IMGP8999

Other 2 above with the K3ii and Astrotracer last week, basically focused on distant light, turned on GPS, enabled astrotracer and let it rip for a few different exposures as it was windy and freezing, and my 14 year old son was in the car and starting to complain, haha.
