Had intended to shoot this with my DA* 50-135 but had really miscalculated the size of the scene. Good old reliable DA 35/2.4 was, as always, in my bag to save the day.

Two Christmas related photos, one secular, one spiritual.

For a lens that cost me $170 Canadian, its IQ at f2.4 is pretty good. Please follow the Flickr links to see how sharp this lens is.

A few years ago, I went out to a Bible camp in May to do some carpentry work before campers started arriving. The on-site camp manager had died of a heart attack the previous summer, but the solar powered cross that he had erected on the high bank of the Roseau River reservoir was still going strong.

The Plastic is one of my favourite lenses. perhaps actually my favourite. Love the thing.

Abandoned by -Occasionally Focused-

It can be crazy sharp and clear; not as eye-bleeding as say my Sigma 30mm, but it reckon it gives nicer images all-round.

Couple of photos with my plastic fantastic. I spent quite some time grading the colour scheme, so I can't pretend like it's exactly as the lens captured them, but I think they show off the rest of the 35's IQ characteristics well.
