K200D and DA 35 2.4 indeed are a very nice combination.

From this past weekend. Lens attached to a K200D body.
Nice! And the gravel road adds a nice touch I think.

The first one is so sharp, very good job, and nice combo with the K200D !

Indeed it works very well with the K200D. Not surprising since I think they were released at about the same time and that's probably the kind of camera the "plastic fantastic" was tested on... as well as the DA*16-50, another lens that works extremely well with the K200D in terms of image quality.

Quick question about this lens...

I have this in my Amazon cart at this very moment, but the below comment in the lens review section has kept me from pulling the trigger.

"It does not focus quite to infinity on stars(hits end stop) which is a minor bummer."

Now I have been wanting a prime lens for quite some time, primarily for nightscape images, so the above comment really gave me pause. Has anyone else experienced the above quote with their lens?

Mine focuses fine at infinity. Unfortunately, the reviewer has a faulty lens but thinks it's a design issue. It's not.

I forgot to make sure it was mentioned... the picture was taken wide open. They don't call it the Plastic Fantastic for nothing

It could be a faulty lens like Roger said, or it could be that the lens/body just needs micro adjustment for focus.

Mine does very well at infinity.

That is great to hear, Christian. After Roger's reply I felt pretty safe pulling the trigger, but to have both of you chime in on this point makes me feel great. I'm looking forward to receiving this lens.

Thanks! I'd just borrowed the Limited 35 macro, so I was already in the zone for that focal length. I really should use the DA 35 f2.4 more, but I really enjoy my 16-85, too!

I have one of these on the way from Amazon, where it was only $116. I tried one out a little while ago and was pretty pleased with the images from it, so I'm quite looking forward to it!

I have all three, as well as a couple of vintage 35s, so I probably use the zoom or the Takumar for the 35mm focal length. All are really good, and I have no plans to sell any of them. I am happy to have too many and know all give great resullts.
