So ZK may soon be back!
Except you may well lose the chipping interaction with the camera in the ZK's i.e. EXIF data. I have a Leica R 90mm I converted to K mount - it acts as a K or M as far as the camera is concerned i.e. fully manual.

Time will tell - good news of progress though

Corrr blimey, Guv'nor! This could turn out to be a hideously expensive year.

pixel shift at night

Lots of great work. Here is a pixel shift shot of the Golden Gate. Taken with cz35 f2.I do find manually focusing is so much easier than on my K-5. The focus peaking it a great feature especially at night.

Indeed. I've purchased a new K-1, Zeiss ZK 35/2, Sigma 70-300/4-5.6 (?) APO, and a $170 Fotodiox WonderPana filter adapter, and used Pentax lenses (Ltd. trio, 50/1.7, 100-300/4.7-5.8, and 24-90/3.5-4.5), Zeiss ZKs in 28/2 and 85/1.4, and an AF360FGZ II flash. And I have new Pentax 15-30/2.8 and 28-105/3.5-5.6 lenses on the way. Thank the heavens for PayPal Credit! Sell the old stuff, pay the creditline off.

It is quite the perfect lens in all respects. Manual focus is easy too. I think my Distagon 2/35 and Planar 1.4/85 are now my go to lenses. Nothing else (including the FA Limited's, although very good) really comes close.

Yes the FA limiteds can't compete with the image quality of these. Though there are better lenses! The Makro-Planar 50mm + 100mm outperform even the amazing 35mm + 85mm lenses. I'm hoping wholeheartedly that they do come my way!

They come up for sale about once every 12-18 months - you have to be quick when they do.

You're not the only one but likely to act quicker, i guess, so I don't have high hopes and continue to happily use the wonderfully compact D-FA 100mm (WR).
