If you did you've made a terrible decision, this lens has got nothing going for it.

Yes Tas......I picked up TaichiTom's ZK 21/2.8

It's entirely your fault........posting OVER and OVER those awesome shot you take with it. Torture, I tell you

My only hope now is that I can come remotely close to the kind of shots you take with it. BTW.....your flickr gallery is amazing.

I have so much admiration for those that convert lenses. I have attempted five Leitax conversions over the years and am at 60% (3/5).......on a Contax MMJ lens, I completely stripped the native mount screws and on a Nikon AIS, I lost a tiny screw into the lens body......as I attempted to retrieve it, let's just say things didn't end well.

I looked at David's instructions on this conversion and decided to spare myself future embarrassment

BTW......in the US grading system, 60% is an F!!

It's not expensive to get a camera/lens engineer to do the conversion for you.

I'm curious, does it still provide the little focus confirmation light? And can you control the aperture from the camera body?

Yes to focus confirmation, no to aperture control - fully manual. Based on my experience of a Leitax conversion of a Leica R 90mm f2.8 to Pentax mount

Agreed.......focus confirmation, no in-camera aperture control.

I don't think it does, but best to confirm with Leitax.

Can you provide a brief 'report' on your experience with Leitax ZF2 to K mount?

Hi Jeffrey,

Once you get your lenses sorted I hope you can find some time to post some details of your experience with the modified lenses in this thread or in a new one.

I would greatly appreciate the insight before I start committing funds to this option. I expect I won't be alone in having an interest in your experience. With sample images of course.

Good luck with it mate, I am envious of the 2/135 and hope that the work that the Leitax guys have put in will be of benefit to them and us Pentax/Zeiss fans.

Certainly I will, Tas--I'm JUST that sort of gabby guy.

David Llado, 'Mr. Leitax', confirmed today that he'll be making my mounts early next week. I hope I see them NLT early the week of the 4th.

Gabby guy? Stay off the turps before you start typing then.

Seriously though, thank you very much, I hope this turns out to be a viable options to access those lenses that we can't otherwise mount to our chosen camera system.

I look forward to the 2/135 and the K-1, I bet they'll sing together with the right subjects.
