I tested on the field my new lenses. For the 85mm, I find that it produces a lot of violet fringes , and I find the focus wide open quite difficult, more difficult for example than with my 80mm leica.. Otherwise, the bokeh is beautiful, with an amazing sharpness

Hi Gedeon,
try the tenpa 1.22x, it's very efficient compared to O-ME53..

It looks like but it's not. Anyway, it's a "must-have"..

Similar shot but with the 2/35

A few days ago I posted an image to the thread captured with the 25/2.8. I think it was one of those occassions that the 2/28 would have provided a better focal length for the subject and conditions as I basically needed to stand in a particular spot to block the sun a bit. I thought the 35 was too tight and the 25 too wide, but you can compare yourself if it interests you. The shot with the 25/2.8 is on the previous thread page, here's the same scene captured with the 2/35.

It would be nice to hear whether you prefer the 25 or 35 FoV for this scene. Maybe you'd opt for the 28 too?

I think i prefer the first photo. The biker on the 2nd one is too far to the right and the eye doesnt really follow. What I also like is that you can see the trees in the background on the photo with the 25.
just my opinion.

Ta for the feedback, I agree about the 25 providing a better balanced shot. I felt the 35 was too long due to the position of the rider, but to be honest he wasn't where I'd expected him to be. The centre white line separates the bike lane on the left and the car lane on the right. If he'd been in the bike lane where he's supposed to be then he'd have been right where I needed him with the 35mm. I can't blame him for his decision when there were no cars around, but felt with a 28 he'd be in the right spot where he is. Anyway, thanks again for the comment, I agree with your opinion.

I like the 2nd better. The eye candy is more pronounced and catchy. Just get rid of the piece of bush on the right edge.

Hi Gedeon,
most of the time, your process is perfect. I wish I could do as well. Bravo.
Is it a native Zeiss ZK mount?

Edit: I am answering to myself: yes, it is a zk...
The first is at f:8 and the second at f:3.2...

The colors, depth and contrast of these photos combine to give the images a nice realism and depth.

Might I ask what aperture you used on these two photos?

Thanks,
Dave

thanks guys !
Yes Teiki, it's a "native" zk mount ! There are still.... ....(you saw that there's a 35mm ZK for sale on LBC ?)

Fenwoodian :
1st : F8
2nd : F3.2

Indeed, after several days of testing, I must say that the rendering of this 28mm is surprising, quite different from the distagon 35mm. Something more "silky", it comes close to that of some leica lenses.

Yes I did Gedeon,
but I am not interested as I have my Leica Summicron-R 35/2 (less good than any new 35mm lenses I admit but I like it very much for his tonal/gray scale), and if I want to buy a new 35/2 which actually is not my focal length, I should go for the Sigma Art 35/1.4...
Thanks!

The only lens I would be interested in is the Mitakon Speedmaster 85/1.2, but I also have my Leica 90/AA which is lighter, excellent even W.O. and with a mini distance at 70cm...
