No editing required?

For my flowers, the 100/2 seems to be an SOC-Pentax JPEG machine. A few examples attached--untouched except minor cropping and light/darkness adjustment on some. Please pardon any undue newbie enthusiasm!

Nice shots! The transition to out of focus on that lens looks really wonderful.

More Zeiss flowers

Fantastic lens for flower photography, all at f 2.0, but note purple fringing on last flower. :>)

The rendering of the last 3 is nothing short of spectacular (not to say that the first shot is bad, but it doesn't do to me what the others do)!

Thank you. I am just beginning to realize what this lens can do. I think the sunflower image came out more descriptive than interpretive.

Took this with my K-1 and adapted Zeiss 100mm f/2 lens. This is my backup lens. I bought it for parts and fixed it enough so I could use it - sort of. It doesn't focus and it's aperture is stuck at f/2.8ish.

Sorry, but this website no longer is allowing me to post my Flickr images on it.

What should be the next Zeiss lens?

I just got a copy of the Carl Zeiss 100mm f 2.0 Planar T* lens, and I am super impressed with it. It is yielding better images than some of my lens that cost three or four times as much!

Now since this is the club for Zeiss users and experts, please tell me what my next Zeiss lens should be, something between 35mm and 85mm, not interested in long telephotos. I should note that I already have medium format lenses CZJ 80, 120, and 180, and that I am not interested in telephotos or super wide lenses. Other than that, myt only criteria is image quality.

If this request provokes discussion, that is fine too.

My two favorite Zeiss lenses for my K1 are the Distagon 2.8/25 ZK ( too wide for your needs ), and the Vario-Sonnar 3.4/35-70 ( Contax w/Leitax adapter ) I find that these two lenses render very nicely! The Vario-Sonnar range is very useful and the two cover most of my needs with the K1. Almost everything else goes to the 645Z

Thanks for these comments. I am open for new lenses for 645N/D/Z as well. I wish I had something like the 100/2.0 planar for the Z.
