I have always liked the 25mm 2.8 Distagons ability to close focus allows it to do some macro like shot with little or no cropping

Dunerunner, Ranchy--great work with one of my "daydream" lenses. A question: how does this lens do at infinity (i.e. in "landscape" rather than "macro" mode?) I've seen reviews that questioned its sharpness across the frame, but it might be that the bar is so high at this level it would never affect the kind of results I would get, anyway.

Thanks! Here are a couple of landscape shots with my 25 mounted on k20d.

Ha, wonderful...unfortunately! Thanks...very interesting that what's perhaps the ultimate "flower lens" can do this, also. It's heavy as a sack-full of DA/FA primes, but it really might kill everything from 15 to 40 (not to mention my 50mm macro) if I could bring myself to be that bloody minded.

I can't comment much on the CZ25 for landscape. I use it mostly for close up macro or potraits shots..

Took the CZ28 instead of the CZ25 for a event, STGCC 2014.. Again on the A7 instead of my K3. :X

Those are awesome--the FF/Zeiss combo really provides a unique (if potentially budget-busting) perspective on things.

Experimenting and trying out the "new-to-me" Carl Zeiss T* Planar 50/1.7 ... wide open and near MFD at sunset on K-5 (ISO 200 @ 1/100 due to breeze)

Zeiss Makro Planar 2/50 ZK for sale on ebay

A wonderful lens that doesn't come up for sale very often, have a look if it interests you: Cosina Carl Zeiss Makro Planar T 50mm F 2 ZK Lens Japan ?Excellent IN BOX? | eBay

I don't plan on parting with mine, but can highly recommend this lens to anyone interested in 50mm focal length and Zeiss rendering.
