April 29 I contacted Carl Zeiss on their site. Bertram Hönlinger wrote me the following:

"Because of the very low request, we had to discontinue ZK type lenses in 2011. We do not plan to offer K-mount lenses anymore within the next future".

I wonder whether indeed we have so low request for ZK?
Sad to hear that they have no plans as yet. A friend also wrote in to Zeiss if they can remake the Zeiss 18 for Pentax but also was declined.
I think for Zeiss user for Pentax, i think we are really minorities.

K-1 & Zeiss Distagon T* 2,8/21 ZK

I nearly missed this, glad I looked out the window in time to see what was happening. Oh, loving the wider FOV with the K-1. The lens reminds of a certain DA 15mm with this size sensor.

There's one here if you're interested.

Read the notes about why the exif reads 85mm instead of 35.

Thanks. In the past ten minutes I ordered a new Distagon 35/2 in K-mount. Was going to put it off, but since they're no longer made I took the chance.

The ZK35 is a really good lens, you won't be disappointed

Good on you mate, once you get the 35 on your camera you'll not regret the decision. A fine piece of kit indeed. I've had mine for about 4 years now, and look forward to seeing it on the K-1. I've got some more 2/35 on the K5 here if you're interested: https://www.flickr.com/photos/25114742@N07/albums/72157631333972084

Don't forget to post some images into this stream too.

The morning after the Oz launch in Sydney.

Sunrise was cloudless, but there was still some awesome light.

Kewl! If it's as cold as it is here in the wind, don't forget to take a jumper.

Bar none my most used lens. It's worth every penny and then some. Here's some recent shots (all K5iis):

Planning to shoot just before sunrise, in the hills, by water.... There will be two jumpers, maybe three!

It's on its way from Japan!!!

Further deep, deep joy. It has a 58mm filter thread and I just so happen to have filters in 58mm (a mistake based on the FA31 Limited, terrible vignetting when using filters and an extension ring). One of the filters is a Singh-Ray Gold 'n Blue, the others B+W ND Vario and ND x1000, B+W Kasemann CPL and a B+W red for black and white too!

Lovely album by the way, I'll set one up for the Distagon and the K-1.

EDIT: Just pushed the button on the 1.4/85 Planar too.
