Further deep, deep joy. It has a 58mm filter thread and I just so happen to have filters in 58mm (a mistake based on the FA31 Limited, terrible vignetting when using filters and an extension ring). One of the filters is a Singh-Ray Gold 'n Blue, the others B+W ND Vario and ND x1000, B+W Kasemann CPL and a B+W red for black and white too!

Lovely album by the way, I'll set one up for the Distagon and the K-1.

EDIT: Just pushed the button on the 1.4/85 Planar too.
Sweet, the sooner it arrives the better!

Oh, and I'm jealous about the Singh Ray Gold n' Blue. I hope to see something from that once you're set up. I've been eyeing off one of those for a while, so I'd be interested in seeing what you can create with it.

And you've jumped on the 85 too? Hopeless indeed. But I certainly don't blame you, the detail that the Zeiss teles capture is special.

I look forward to seeing your K-1/Zeiss albums.

I forget which lens/camera this was taken with now, could have been the Sony "Zeiss" FE 1.8/55 on the A7r . . .

Blue . . .

Gold . . .

If I recall that Singh-Ray was around £250 once imported from the US to the UK. I near cried when it wouldn't work properly on the FA31, I wanted to tear that stupid fixed hood off!

Pentax K-1 & Zeiss Makro Planar T* 2/100 ZK

Av mode, exposing to the left to take advantage of the natural light and shadows in the afternoon.

What about the 85?

Thanks Ranchy, and I can understand you desiring both of those lenses I did too. I was pleasantly surprised at just how good the 85 worked here this morning. Ths is 4s at f11, MUP. The image was exposed to prevent blowing out the highlights, I therefore had to adjust the tones using the LR6 shadow slider and the colour channels. I then finished the image in On1 Photo 10 before making a smaller version for the interwebs. This is best viewed in Flickr using the fullscreen view, click on the photo to check it out.

Tas, you're killing me with your Zeiss lenses and their IQ. So good...

I hope not, I might get arrested.

I've been admiring your work with the FA43 plenty and find I'm drawn to that more than the 77 or 31. I really llike how the K-1 has brought that bit extra to these lenses whether they be Pentax or Zeiss. Like this.

Ta mate, and you'll find all the Zeiss lenses have nice starbursts once you stop them down a bit.

+1 to that comment.

K-1 next year from me (just completing reno's at home), but really looking forward to seeing what my Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses will produce on it. Especially landscapes with pixel shift enabled.

You have been inspiring me with what you are achieving Tas, thanks mate

Did some boring work photos today with the Carl Zeiss Planar T* 1.4/85 on the K-1. It's about grass growing.

Thise are the first shots I've seen with this combo. Perhaps some shots of your lawn mower next time.
