X-Post with the K-1 thread. Captured using an ND400 on the Distagon 21/2.8.

No images to share this time just thought I'd post about a new Zeiss Otus: Here is the previously rumored Zeiss Otus 100mm f/1.4 full frame DSLR lens (Zeiss Otus 1.4/100) - Photo Rumors

An interesting beast for sure and with the quality of the Makro Planar 2/100 and Distagon 2/135 they will need to put some effort into creating something better to justify the money this thing will cost.

No ZK mount of course but even if they decided to offer that option I'd struggle to think why I'd want to invest that much on a prime like this.

If money was no object though...drool...

Fujifilm Velvia 50, Pentax Z-1p, Zeiss Distagon 35/2, f2.8, 1/45, scanned on Noritsu LS-1100.

Does anyone know the actual price of the Distagon 35/2 in mint condition? It turned out, that now I have two of them

Good shots, sibyrnes! It looks like 21mm is a handy focal length.

Zeiss 25/2

I sold my Zeiss 21 to fund the 25/2—only available as a ZF.2 Leitaxed lens. Not as razor sharp as the 21mm, but (IMHO) offers an overall richer rendering, plus for me personally is easier to use than the 21mm FL:

sibyrnes, did you edit your shots differently? At least, the white balance looks not the same.

I can't answer for Sibyrnes, but I know after having owned both the 21mm and 25/2mm Zeiss lenses that the 25 renders "warmer" than the 21 with the same settings on one's camera. I think the 25/2 yields micro contrast a bit better as well.

thank you, les3547!
By the way, have ever compared the 25/2 to the FA* 24/2? I have the latter lens.

I did edit the photos differently, but Les is correct. The 25 is warmer.

I've not tried the FA 24/2, but I can say the Zeiss 25/2 is the second best (for my tastes) Zeiss I've tried (first being the 135/2). Great lens.
