Thanks Tom!

Without further ado...

Maximus by Carl Zeiss (T* 2/50 Makro-Planar)

Probably one of my first shots the my M-P, f/2, ISO250, 1/250s. Focus snapped to his eyes with ease, in the viewfinder (Katzeye with Optibrite) the sharpness bite is really easy to ascertain. I love how it rendered the couch in the background, deliciously smoothly.

Yesteryear (T* 2/50 Makro-Planar)

Bit of PP work done on this to make it stand out. Colours and Hues mainly. Detail is all there in the flower. f/4, ISO80, 1/200s. Exif is incorrect, should read 50 rather than 85.

Who would have thought that the German had a sense of humour! :P - f/4, ISO160, 1/80s

From Left to Right (T* 2/50 Makro-Planar)

Unusual and arty I suppose. This came about purely by accident. Taken at f/13 (yep!) ISO400, 1/100s. I had it in mind to create something leading in from the left and had left a bit of room for cropping and changing the aspect. Focused on the left of the frame easily enough but had forgotten all about the aperture :O, correct exposure is around the f/4 mark. Into Lightroom, had a look and pulled up the highlights, et voila, 'From Left to Right'

Sunbathing (T* 2/50 Marko-Planar)

Wandering around Kinsale in Cork, noticed the sunlight shining though some trees. Got up reasonably close, f/2, ISO80, 1/1600s and the result is this deliciously sharp x-ray type shot of sunbathing leaves. OOF areas nicely done as well. (Exif incorrect, should be 50, not 85)

Thank you, great initiative!!
Zeiss lenses on Pentax....
I have four of them, and like them all a lot.
Here's one with the Distagon 35/2. I like this lens because of it's clear rendering.

Zk 85/1.4

Go figure that out!!

From a recent trip to lovely Vienna. Straight out of the K5IIs (raw in CO1v7). No saturation increase, hardly any sharpening, the colors and sharpness from the Zeiss ZK85/1.4 just knock me off my feet every time...

and one from the ZK28/2...

Here is one from the ZK28/2, the other lens I brought along to Vienna. It's a great all-round lens on Apsc, with a very bright character and like the 85/1.4, really nice colors.

Some of my first shots with the 85.... The bokeh is sublime.
