I wondered the same. You got some good shots with that lens. Maybe it just needs a CLA. There should be someone who could do that for a reasonable price.

I've had a M-series 20mm f4 on my MX since the early 80's and have added an FA20mm f2.8 to my collection in the last couple of years...have always loved that focal length.

it's been long but I finally took my camera out for a spin last week during a trip to Santa Barbara. Gaviota Pier at sunset with K5/A20/2.8 with some graduated ND in post.

No, it's actually Loch Morlich a freshwater loch in the Badenoch and Strathspey area of the Highlands of Scotland near Aviemore.
