I'd like to say all sorts of clever things, but truthfully... K1 supported on some prayer books (no tripods allowed or available), add a fine "Good Lady” (Pentax-A 20mm F2.8), self timer with mirror up, expose for the highlights and boost the shadows a wee bit in PP.

Nearly right... the correct phrase was “F/8.0 and Be There” attributed to Arthur “Weegee” Fellig, the famous New York photojournalist and street photographer.

Yes, I know. My version uses F11 as that works SO well with both the FA 20 mm and the Irix 15mm for getting everything from ~4' to infinity in acceptable focus.

No sorry I was not suggesting otherwise, for me at this shot, light was against me, a second at F8.0 was long enough, without added an extra stop to make 2 seconds at F11.0.

That's a Scottish understatement if I ever saw one

No need to lift the shadows quite that much in this one from my walk today. Held the camera on an outstreched left arm while holding on to a tree with the right. Waterlevels were a bit higher than I had anticipated

Here's another for you then, "that dram glass is half full"... but more importantly then, it means its half empty and it's your shout.
