So what you're saying is "never drink with a Scotsman"?

Some more K-1 & A20/2.8

...and really too little space to get the angle I wanted here, but...

All in monochrome because we're in the month of MoNovember

Aye unless you’ve got deep pockets, as it will get expensive...

Nice! 10 rays, must be 5 blades. Had to check my FA 20 2.8. It has 6 blades. ;-)

Yep, 5 blades. As we concluded elsewhere, it makes more of a propeller than a starburst, but I still like it

Some more long exposure A20 shots. Might post some of them in colour later, but just b&w for now - it's MoNovember, after all!

Yes it is! Very, very nice images!

My 20 mm might be feeling a bit unloved, as my Irix 15mm Blackstone is getting all the wide-angle attention these days.

SMC Takumar 20mm f4.5

I went to Wat Arun today and took a few photographs. It's an iconic structure on the banks of the Chaophya River that runs through Bangkok. It was built about 350 years ago and just completed a lengthy restoration. Lots of tourists, including this one. "It Sounded Good in the Brochure." (There are more photos taken with the lens at my Flickr page if anyone is interested. William Bolton | Flickr Too much work to upload to the gallery before posting to the page.)

The 20mm is a good lens to play with.

There were a number of difficulties to be overcome in making this shot chief of which is that the super-wide angle can include too much background sometimes. Also in trying to get the proper angle oftentimes my own shadow intruded in the bottom of the frame. Cropping was tough.

I wanted to capture the impression that Saber was airborne on her motorbike. The 20 I thought would be good for that. I might have to revisit it though.

I just received this coffee maker, and it presented another opportunity to play with the 20. f16 and cropped.

"Watermelon". Shot at f16. The last one I bought from a truck vendor wasn't very sweet, so I asked the girl at the 7-11 if this melon was ripe and sweet. She told me it was. And it was just as ripe and sweet as it looks.
