OK then. Only at 20mm of course; you'll have to look HERE for a wider selection....

20-40 @20mm f/11

For a wide zoom, its flare resistance isn't bad - comparable to my DA21. Looking straight into the Australian sun:

Flare test f/8

And now the bad news. Wide open at 20mm the corners are pretty soft. They are only fair at f/4.0 and pretty reasonable at f/5.6. My DA21 is better in this regard.

20mm f/2.8

Thanks for sharing! Lovely landscape, where is this?
And even more interesting (for tech geeks at least), you took this with the Sony Alpha 7R? How is the corner performance with the 20mm lens? Could you post a 100% crop?

Blue Mountains Leura NSW Australia , Its behind the 3 sisters normally most people take the other side ,from the lookout this is from a private residence . Corner crop would be a waste of time the shots hand held and i focused on infinity and i an standing right on top of the bush so it cant be in focus , these are also Jpeg as i don't have a converter for the raw files as yet ,

Have the smc-A 20/2.8 and also the K 20/4. Both are great but for different reasons. The K20/4 is better at infinity (see my two posted photos in the "K" lens forum) while the A 20/2.8 is better for street shooting. Also I think that the A lens flares more wide open. Here's one from the 20/2.8 smc-A lens, stopped down a bit:

Thanks, and yes you are so right. This day I thought I could take this old Non-WR lens with me for my walk ;-)
