I know this to be true so I'm envious.

Congrats! Lookin' forward to some entries in the DIC I hope.. I sometimes wish I had come upon an A20 before I landed FA20, as I prefer the starbursts of the A20...

Speaking of my FA20, it's back in action after a second repair in the last year...

Took this 'grab shot' from my car with my K1 & FA 20mm F/2.8. Really do like this lens. ISO 100 F/5.6 1/500 hand held. The composition is not the best but I like how the lens handled the sun in frame.

I saw this scene and was immediately reminded of this famous poem.

As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
Absolutely love those wide shots and the details that are still in it! Was this shot on a K1? Seems way to wide for APS-C

The Elusive) A 20/2.8 Hood

Congrats!

Actually, that hood looks very similar to (and about as unwieldy as) the one I picked up on eBay for my A 20/2.8. I'm curious about the dimensions. Mine is about 94mm in diameter at the wide end and about 22mm deep overall. Is that fairly close approximation real thing?

Thanks! Very rough measurements are 97 and 19mm. Not the optimal measure nor very good light though. I'll see if I can do better tomorrow. Definitely not the most nimble hood!

Certainly was... K1 and "Good Lady” (Pentax-A 20mm F2.8) make for a great combo.

Well, my measurements were nothing I'd submit to a journal either ;~) but it sounds like mine is reasonably close (considering that it was a pure guess on my part regarding what a hood for a 20mm lens should look like.) I'll do some testing for vignetting tomorrow (just so I know what to expect) but I think I've got a useable solution. The next challenge is portability problem.

Thanks for the info!

I put the A 20/2.8 on the K-1 and went to the farmer's market.
