Having never driven in New York I don't think I would attempt to drive in that kind of traffic.
But then again driving my own car with "Foreign Out of Country" plates, some of the other drivers may realize that I may be lost or not sure where I may be going and give me a break or even offer assistance.

No. Don't think so. Half of the people in New York City are from some place else!

Sorry, totally missed this. It is indeed Varick Holland Tunnel traffic. Luckily I was heading for the subway and didn't have to sit in it.

DA 50 was my first prime. As a reasonably priced lens it was quite safe choice to test how I would feel with fixed focal length. Versatility and IQ of the DA 50 from close ups to huge panoramas surprised me and reduced my 18-135 WR to be bad weather lens only.

K-1 with plastic fantastic

DA 50mm f 1.8 is not a bad lens for occasional landscape use.

Stacking stones (or balancing rocks) at the beach - a current craze. SMC Pentax-DA 50mm f1.8 @ f1.8.
Rocks are naturally balanced on top of one another in various positions. Adhesives, wires, supports, or rings are not permitted.
