Sigma 70-200 / 2.8 with K-3 III

I'm contemplating investing in the K-3 III ...

Anyone tried the Sigma 70-200 together with it?

I used my K3iii and Sigma 70-200 for a football game earlier this year. Here are a few shots. You can click on them to see the whole gallery.

Looks great!

Did you notice anything different in autofocus speed or anything else compared to earlier Pentax models?

I really haven't spent a lot of time with it. I use my K1 and K1ii more and bought the K3iii to have an APS-C camera as well. It does seem to focus pretty quickly and there are more modes than on the K1 or my old K3 (which I gave to my grandson.)

I have now taken the plunge into K3-III ownership.
Did some quick tests with the Sigma 70-200 and I can confirm that it seems to work fine.

Last year, I contacted the Sigma service organization and asked about any compatibility issues and they hinted that I should send in my Sigma lenses for (free) firmware updates. I haven't done it but it seems to work anyway. The Sigma USB dock only works for the 18-35 F1.8 so updating firmware can't be done at home.

Will test some more as time permits...
