Interesting. I might be making a call to Mount Gambier and asking for some royalties there....

I'm sorry Sandy I though a Q was a camera with the Sigma attached . I'll have to look into what a Q is .
The Q, Q10 and Q7 are indeed Pentax cameras, but I have never used my 70-200 on any of them (and I have owned all three).

I used my HSM II for an engagement shoot for my best mate on Sunday. First time shooting people really...

Was split 50/50 this lens and the 30mm f1.4 (also posted a couple pics in the 30mm thread)

My lens has to go in for some repairs, but here's some examples from an anti-bullying gig I shot over the weekend. In this case the 70-200 was on my K5IIs.

That one was taken of a lake in the Grampians (Western Victoria)....... this lens allowed me to reach across the water. I really love the flexablity this lens gives me........ I ended up taking it with me on most walks.....will post a few other pics When I get a chance.

You people are just crazy good . I'm a beginner but I would like to get to where I'm half as good as you guys and girls . I just ordered a K3 with grip today and I can't wait to get it and try out the sigma 70-200mm on it . I have the sigma 18-35mm on back order and from what I have seen and watched on youtube that lens and the 70-200mm is all I'm going to need . Does anyone have the new 1.4 wr converter that pentax just came out with and have taken some photos with it attached to the sigma 70-200mm lens . If so will you post a few photos and put in the post that the converter was used . I'm not sure if I will be able to tell in the exif . Thanks . You people that have posts on here are really good I mean it . I hope I can figure out how you make the photos go good . One more thing I have the version 2 is there a f stop that works the best to make the photos the sharpest .

You should love your K3 with those Lenses. I find my sigma really good from 2.8 (reffered to as wide open) up to the normal refraction issues from F11 etc. If I'm shooting at the long end (200mm) Image quality/sharpnes is more about a steady shooting stance if your not using a tripod. (99.99% of my shots are hand held)....with all other things beng equal.

Like you (I think from your Post) I'm just beginng to transition from happy snapper to thoughtfull photographer..... lots of fun. Also don't hesitate to post some of your shots ...... this forum welcomes all giving it a go!
