I see what you mean about the M20 and strange distortion effects with that shot, Pinholecam. I mean, look at that fenced in walkway in the foreground... all twisty turny and stuff. I can't believe how bad that lens is!

Actually, Pinholecam has worked very hard in PP to get the bridge with all its timber right ... check the poles and tree trunks above it on the RHS!

Thanks again.

You rocked the M20 with this one!
This is my favorite UWA for sure.
The CV21/1.8 that I have is faster, but the larger size/weight/cost just makes me use it less (its not that big a lens, but the M20/4 is really portable) .
Canon FD20/2.8? - seldom bring it out at all
Its all so often easy to ding a lens on paper and internet theoretical arguments.
But to me, in practical real world use, this lens just rocks!

Seems like a very lonely club for now.
Was hoping more will be able to post with the FF in end 2015, but seems like Spring 2016 has to be it.

I'm still contemplating the Alpha 7 II.
The loss of exif info (for focal length especially) and the issue with setting a bottom shutter time with auto iso, are making me hesitate.

That and the fact I completely have no 'need' for it

But you sure make an excellent case!
Your latest images are really wonderful again.

At this point, I do think waiting for the Pentax FF would be the best.

K28/3.5.
Though I have shunned the 28mm focal length for such a long time.
This lens does reel me back into wanting to use one.

It reminds me of the IQ of a stopped down 50mm but at 28mm FOV.
Incredible for a lens its price.

Excellent work with this 28!

I think I might wait for the Pentax FF mirrorless

Pentax K135/2.5
After some fooling around other lenses, I've come to the conclusion that this is one of the best deals out there for a fast 135mm.
Again, imo, less situations where the bokeh is too funky, while at the same time a rich level of contrast and colors as well as good sharpness even off center from wide open.

More from the K135/2.5
To me, this is the max size/weight that I'd want to deal with for a travel lens, and the K135 is IT for me if I want that f2.5 for such isolation portraits.

K135/2.5

Hold on to those lenses, cause they will still make a splash on FF.
