The old Pentax A15/3.5 lives up to its reputation.
Looks very well corrected for distortion (the old way; using glass)

Another shot from the same day.

Flare comes from the ND filter if anyone is wondering.

Love the smooth tones of the bokeh

Another try today (Pentax monthly outing for May)

Pixel shift, this time using PDCU.

I think I sharpened it up a bit in the PDCU, but overall I think this is the software to better make use of the PixS file.
The quality of the sensor (whatever Pentax did to it) and the Samyang 14/2.8 is incredible to me.

Go to the largest file :
https://www.flickr.com/photos/29329237@N07/26540322334/sizes/o/

Even license plates and info off the tourist info center on the bottom left corner is readable.

Not a small feat for any 14-15mm lens.

Wow it look really sharp, seem like the PDCU is a better software.

could i ask if the shot was taken with Pixel Shift on? or was edited and added PS in the PDCU?

Pentax K135 F2.5 - another classic lens by Pentax. Super contrasty and characteristic lens.

Thanks Ranchy.

Its taken with PixS on.
The raw processing was done using PDCU selecting the motion control option in it, which seems to do a proper job that results in no/little movement artifacts and a sharper picts

More stuff from Singapore.

We have a Pentax monthly outing here which has been going on for 8yrs.
Certainly the best place to be a Pentaxian.

FA20/2.8

Three with the FA135/2.8

The outings were started by Frank sometime in 2008.
Just a few Pentaxians during that time.
Outing numbers were in the 5-8 iirc.

The numbers of Pentax users swelled during the DSLR boom years and with great models like the K5 and Kx which attracted many newcomers.
30 in an outing in some cases.

Sadly, the number of users fell again w/o a FF option, Pentax uncertainty during the early Ricoh buy over, change in local distributor, and the decline of the DSLR fad.
Nowadays, a usual outing is about 8-15 folks.
Its a close knit community, puts a face to each forum nikname so no one is an internet entity (keeps everyone nice )

Rather than test picts, test picts, test picts....
Its just far more fun to go on a trip to prove the lenses and camera.
