Took some shots for a friend's pre-wedding shoot.

For me, finally I get to use the FA*85/1.4 in all its true glory.

Awesome shot.

I know it's a dumb question but what kind of adapter do you have to use to use Pentax manual glass on another brand of camera?
Not dumb at all. A glassless adapter should be usable for Canon and others with shorter registration* distances. I am almost certain that you lose all automated functionality.

*Distance from mount surface to sensor/film surface.

Thanks guys for the kind words!
Alamo5000, indeed you can just use a simple adapter that doesn't interfere with the optical elements of the lens. The only thing is that aperture automation and autofocusing are lost, but to me that's not really a problem.

Pinholecame, the K 50 gives me better results than the M version I had earlier, even though it should be similar in optics.
By the way, your FA85 shot is fantastic!! I really need to get myself a fast 85 ASAP, thanks

Here's another shot of the same subject

Day hike at Hetch Hetchy reservoir (Yosemite), taken 2012.
I've always liked this shot, in particular how the K2 balanced metering the shadowed foreground and brightly sunlit rock faces on the far side of the water.

lens: Pentax FA* 28-70mm
camera: Pentax K2
sensor: Kodak Portra 160

I love the quirky angle -- and I seldom like tilted pictures.

Thanks! I like it too - that's why I keep doing a couple of these each day. It turned out to be a fun series : www.joco.me/roltrap Shot mostly with the DA15 + K5, which is a great combo. Not sure if FF will replace it, but testing......

Interesting shot.

I'd really like to get one of the Pentax 20mm, but they sure are elusive.
Got myself a FD 20/2.8 to tie me over (mainly because its cheap), but the size of it just reminds me why I love Pentax lenses.

Soligor 17/4 (M42 mount)

Not exactly a Pentax lens, but one that was for the 'Pentax screw mount'

Cats eyes

That's a good result with the Soligor pinhole cam!

Cat pics are hard not to make....... A50mm 1:1.2 wide open.

edit: here's an export from LR5.3

A bit off-topic, but I am amazed how poorly this image was exported to JPG by Apple Aperture 3. All kinds of horrible things going on, in particularly in the whiskers. An export at 100% is fine, this one with sizing to 1200 pix longest side is jagged.
