Yes, the options are certainly more nowadays with modern post processing.
I just use a Sigma 20mm profile in lightroom as I found that it fits best most of the time.
All the old 20's across brands (including some newer ones in fact) have a rather similar mustache like distortion profile in varying degrees.
I used to consider distortion correction 'cheating' on the lens manufacturer.
But imho, the improvements in post processing software have made it virtually low IQ loss (if at all).
Much unlike say 6yrs ago.
The very high mp on the cameras nowadays also allow much more post process mileage for such things imo.
