Welcome to the club, Gary. The colors in that fourth image are superb.

Thanks for the comment lytrytyr. The third photo was a 100% crop of the upper left flower of the fourth photo. All photos are hand held. I will attempt some more serious photography in the future. Great little lens.

Hello DICE

I read this in a review (Generally-speaking, the 20-40mm is sharper at its wider focal lengths than at the telephoto end Center sharpness is very good at 20mm, good at 30mm, and acceptable at 40mm;. At 40mm, you will need to stop down to at least F5.6 and F8 preferably for good results).

Here, there is one with F7.1

You learn to appreciate the WR on this lens when the weather closes in:

Round Valley walkabout

Nice to see more use of the zooooom from everyone. Here is a set from a walkabout. It was nice to see the sun....though we need lots more rain.

Rush to catch the light.

Nice image Crooski. Looks like a great place to live.

Here are a few for a mad dash to catch some light before sunset.

OMG, lovely images. I shoot 15, 21, 35 and 70 Ltds and now have a new Lens Lust target. For the WR, in case you are wondering. My primes cannot leave until someone pries them from my cold dead hands. But the DA Zoom WR is on my radar for lousy weather.

The DA 20-40 is glued on right now. And with the spring, springing in my neck of the woods it is a fun lens.
Here's one from a couple of nights ago.

In contrast to the various tests on the Internet I experience this lens is sharp and clear
This weekend I'm going to use this lens on my flimcamera PENTAX Program A

I think it's a full frame lens!
