I don't think it's overpriced actually, certainly not compared to Canon or Nikon glass.

The build quality is exceptional. Optically it wipes the floor with my Tamron 17-50 and I find the focal range to be pretty much perfect for most street/travel photography.

Are there any plans to release a telephoto limited zoom?

This is why all of my shots so far with this lens have been closer to 20 and 40. Still, it's nice to have a "normal" perspective for certain scenarios.

For me, 30mm on APS-C is too close to the frame diagonal, which makes a boringly "normal" focal length.

No hdr, but I brought out detail and texture in the otherwise boring overcast sky in post processing.

Really like your train shot b and w.

I took this shot of kittens in Fes, Morocco recently and think it's a nice example of the 20-40's rendering at close focus.

This is straight out of camera with no processing or correction and the camera set flat.

Another from the same location and straight from camera... Same details but at 20mm

I really like this lens for outdoor scenes too . . . small, water resistant, renders quite well, and maintains plenty of detail.

It is hard to expect more than this . . .

Nice images, Zant, especially the tonal gradients captured in #2.

The leaning spire in #1 makes me wonder when the Light Room folks will add the lens correction profile for the 20-40. I uploaded the new release and was disappointed that it wasn't there.

Any ideas?

Here is an evening shot of Seattle with the DA 20-40 ltd. Note the small but nice stars it produces at f9.

Second image is an HDR from the same location.

I usually do not like HDR (because it is usually overdone), but your Seattle shot is great. Kudos!

Looks like a very appealing place to me. You captured it well.

Thanks, when I first learned hdr, I over cooked many. I'm now looking at how to use hdr for better natural images.
