Smokey Mountains and Abrams Falls

Back in August my wife and I went to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Inside there is a place called Cade's Cove. I took a panorama stitching four pictures together to get this one image. I still have to fix a couple of things here and there, but I'm happy with it.

Looking forward to printing this one.

The second picture is of Abrams Falls. The trail is 2.5 to get there from Cade's Cove over a hilly and narrow path. It was tough getting there just because of the weight I had to carry. A tripod with a K5iis and two lenses with some water bottles and filters can be burdensome when facing rocky and slippery parts of a trail that had steep drop offs to one side. Regardless, even after an hour hike, I made it. Took a long exposure with a Lee filter Big Stopper and made a 2 minute exposure.

This summer I was in the island of Pag with Kp + 20-40, I thought I was the only one . I stayed one day, unfortunately. Many interesting places, so I did not have time to find the alien triangle, I would have liked to get there as well and take pictures with KP + 20-40. Maybe another time.

PS 15mm, 20-40mm, 70mm is my favorite combination too. But when I do not have enough time I use 18-135.

The HD DA20-40 and K3.

Finally getting some images processed after returning from a two week vacation by car from Florida to New Mexico, up to Montana and North Dakota and back the same route.
