Bruce, you can see the Irish looks in your daughter, must be Irish DNA in there as she looks like lots of Irish girls here

Don't confuse Irish with Scots, there's a subtle difference

Your results with the K-1 and 20-40mm have inspired me to give it a try as well. If I get anything worthy I'll post it here!

Thank you!

My only advice is to just be mindful of corners in particular, they can be of poor IQ (even if you resolve the vignette). I took a nice shot of a tree stopped down to around f8 the other day (still to upload it, I'll add it here in this post later on), and the corners contain poor IQ/artefacts, basically using part of the lens it never meant to. But there are lots of images where corners are not the be all and end all, so shoot with that in mind (and even embrace the natural vignette it gives).

Here's another 20-40 @24mm FF mode, not cropped this time but corner IQ is not overly important to the mood of the shot here;

Saturday for Stairs

Covid-19 saw many places of interest closed over our Autumn period. Even though Breenhold Gardens was still employing groundskeepers it was apparent that some areas were not getting much attention due to the lack of public attendance.
However, I really loved the 'unkempt' look of the gardens in places, a bit of nature reclaiming.

Breenhold Gardens, Autumn 2020.

I took the KP and 20-40 on my first international trip to Japan on New Years. This was my first viewing of Mt. Fuji.

edit: Out of curiosity, for those with fancy monitors, how are the colors in this photo looking (too dull or too saturated)?

My monitor isn't very "fancy" - it's a 24" Dell with 1920x1200 IPS screen and calibrated with Spyder 4 Express - but your photo looks to have appropriate color and saturation to me.

Thank you. I'll have to purchase a calibrator when I have the chance.

Arashiyama Bamboo Forest:

The colours look fine to me.

My DA Limited primes accompanied me on a trip to Japan a few years ago and I enjoyed using them (and the other aspects of the trip!) very much. I look forward to seeing more of your images. After over two months of quarantine I think I've never had such a strong desire to travel again. Unfortunately I don't think there'll be any of that this year.

Thought I would try out the K1 + 20ta40 for a couple days. It can definitely work! I spent 10 sec processing this and it came out rather harsh, but its all good:

Good job! So if this was 20mm, was it taken landscape orientation and you cropped the vignetting left and right? Or did you take it portrait and its a crop in slightly?

@BruceBanner - Wonderful images on this page, Eddy. You show up the colours, the bokeh and general rendering of this lens really well.

Thank you Des. I should note that the vast majority of images taken with the HD DA 20-40 are on the K-1 in FF mode, it can help drive the depth/aperture issue a little more in this mode.
