First shots with Kiron 28mm f2 MC
First at f2 and minimum focus... it's soft but in a pleasant way

and stopped down to f8 it's very very sharp throughout (about 3/4 crop here)

I believe one of the best-known of the Kiron lenses is the Kiron 105mm f 2.8 macro 1:1. This lens is 1:1 without extension tubes or an add-on adapter and is also a capable general lens for landscape and other applications.

Here are a few garden shots with the K-1 and one of my favorite lenses.

I read in a review here on pf that the Kiron 28mm f2 MC has nice (strong) flare, but today I noticed first time taking photos close to sunset so the sun was in the frame sometimes. Can't share because they're family photos, but this is a fun "feature" to explore, haven't really had lenses with flare that looked good

Kiron 105mm

I am always looking to find a better macro lens than the Kiron 105/2.8 macro 1:1. However, I am not sure if I have found a better one. I use for lots of my flower photography, not just macro. I like its compact (but heavy) form better than my Zeiss 100mm, and the Kiron pretty much holds its own against the Zeiss.
