With DA*300 tonight. I think high winds aloft made it a little fuzzy.

Wonderful detail and great colours royd63uk, but I don't care for the bokeh. Would you be able to post a shot with the 150-450 with and without TC for a bokeh comparison?

HI Dan
I will try to get a shot without the convertor, I think the bokeh is due to slight movement also as this was hand held

I don't think shake was an issue, because the foreground is tack sharp. I am curious to know if the bokeh is normal for this lens or a characteristic of the lens + TC.

I noted that the DA300 + HDTC hase a more nervous bokeh than the DA300 itself... the 150-450 already have a nervous bokeh without TC, and anyways, TC's would normally just proportionaly increase any bad rendering...

This immature dark morph Snow Goose have drawn the attention of bird watchers because it has a pale tip of its beak. It's probably just a simple genetic aberration

Hi, I think nobody answered your question, which answer is unfortunately no... the HD TC 1.4x is not FF compatible. It would work, but you'd have severe vignetting.
However, it would work, and could be ok if your subject is pretty small on the sensor (I'd say something like1:4 crop at least) and accordingly that you have lots of spare Mpx to crop to your subject, for example from a K-3xyz
Hope that helps...

Edit: Just saw you have the K-5II... so it would not be an issue, my answer was for a K-1 Body with that combo...

I don't have a K 1

but it does have a crop mode and as I understand it, the DA 1.4 rear converter will work with the K 1 in crop mode

the rear converter does work with the D FA * 70 - 200mm 2.8 lens

this link to part of the " in depth review " indicates how it works with Pentax camera bodies and lenses:

Pentax-DA 1.4x AW AF Rear Converter Review - Specifications | PentaxForums.com Reviews

this link shows that certain Pentax camera bodies require a firm ware update for full capacity:

New Firmware Adds Support for Pentax Teleconverter - Firmware Updates | PentaxForums.com

I have used it with my K 3 and K 5 II without any problem
