Autofocus issue

Hello guys,
I recently bought this nice little gem, but after few shots started to have focus issue from 55mm above and in macro. From 35 to 55 mm nails the focus right away, but above 55mm makes click-clack-click and is badly out of focus, usually front focus.
What do you recommend?

My initial thought was you might have been too close to your subject and the lens simply couldn't focus, but this would result in backfocus issues not frontfocus.
Does the AF work in LV or do you have the same issues there too (it is another AF mechanism than through the optical viewfinder)? If you have the same issues than I would suspect there is something wrong with the lens, if AF in LV works fine you might try your luck with lens calibration but this might (or more likely: probably) messes up your focus for the 35 - 55 mm range.

Thank you for the answer, the AF works in LV, and strangely sometimes works also through the viewfinder if I switch from LV. I do not want to mess my focus so if there is not another option, I just let it be like it is.

Great picture from this beloved lens. I’ve enjoyed my copy a lot but don’t use it much in large part because I’ve got 50mm lenses that are a lot faster. Have to dig it out and try that macro on my LUMIX
