You're not alone Now that light is finally returning I start getting some inspiration back. I really need to make an effort to think of different motifs for shooting through the dark part of the year - maybe even set up a small studio of sorts. OTOH then I might well end up with this projector lens addiction these guys are suffering from Report Post Like savoche's Post
I am getting pissed at myself right now and packing my bag - gotta go out today's afternoon for some flower- 'ish' shots :P...... or not, looks like I got this idea too late with sun getting low.. oh, well maybe tomorrow then

All your images with this lens are extremely beautiful and inspirational. Although the lens itself might have played its role, I am sure you'd achieve similar or same results with any fast lens - thank you for sharing these very creative photos!!
Thank you very much, I do appreciate, but you entirely too kind!

Believe me, I can't tell you how often lenses stayed in my bag for months at a time... And I eventually realized the lens lenses I've had, the less I photographed anything. All I have left from Pentax is FA 50mm f/1.4 and DFA 100mm macro. And now enjoy experimental lenses quite a bit...

Agreed. I should get out of "my rut" of only taking flower captures.

Very nice and thanks again, D_V.
Thank you J!

Flower captures - please keep them coming! I wish there were flowers out, longing for seeing and photographing them, but snow is still on the ground...

Golden Thread...

This is the first time I've actually taken this Diaplan for a "walk", finally snow melted... And what realized, for the "desired" painterly bokeh, this lens really makes you work!!!

Regards,
D

If you carry on like that - some might proclaim you officially as a king of the bokeh-liciousness :P

Manntax, J - thank you, you are entirely to kind!

This one - did not turn out at all as what I envisioned, but after taking exposure down, and re-shooting, to me it almost "Sci-Fi"-ish, so here it is, the "Entity"

Duh_Vinci, I am disconcerted with all these amazing photos.
My hands and head are hot, must be LBA FEVER!
I need to get myself a projector lens.

Kindly thank you Pierre! I certainly enjoy this little gem! Is it for every subject - absolutely not, but in terms of floral, abstract and such - marvelous tool!

I have no difficulty seeing these as abstract art work hanging on a wall. Basically because they are works of art
