Same Aldis Star 100/2.8 wide open but on the K-1 here ... post in Darkroom 3. More quick shots from our backyard while we are all confined to the house.

Hi again.

Check out this YouTube video at about the 2 and a half minute mark ... the projector lens makes a pretty good showing against the Meyer Optik Trioplan 100/2.8 II ... Fun with Bokeh! Visual experiments you can do at home - YouTube

Got bored this afternoon, so I climbed up into the attic to fetch a few photo things ... some 16mm cinema projection lenses.

Here, first efforts with an Angénieux F50 1:1.5 mounted in a cheap Chinese extension tube rig on the X-E1 ... not perfect yet, but functional.

B&W post in Darktable 3 ... and the color image is SOOC.

Admiring the giant ...

... 2.5mm long ant. A matter of perspective.

Raynox 250 hand-held in front of a beaten Diaplan 100mm f/2.8 hand-held in front of an 8mm hole in roll film backing paper as aperture in front of fully extended K-Bellows and small extension tube for a 3:1 magnification, cropped to ~5mm field of view.

New projector lens. Kindermann Color-Germany 90mm 1:2.8 MC. Seems less soft than my other one.

Has anyone here adapted the Ko-120m to a Pentax?
I'm having trouble finding out the exact lens flange distance at infinity. It looks to be about 47.5mm, which would be quite tight (though I could shorten the lens slightly).

If anyone happens to have measured it at some point I'd be very happy to know!

It can be done. I've never measured the distance but I have had to shorten the lens from the back side a little bit. I've unscrewed the back of the lens, took out the lens and filed until it worked. for focussing, I've used the big 55mm chinese helicoid and for fixing the lens an old Carl zeiss 52.5mm ring epoxied to the front of the helicoid.

I could add a picture or two of the contraption soon if it would be helpful.

I suppose I'm the last to know as usual but I've been watching e-bay auctions on their EU site recently and there's a chap regularly converting mostly projection lenses to m42 mount but there have been some other lens conversions from probably Exakta to m42 and some SLR lenses to both Leica Screw and M mounts, most conversions have focusing by way of a helicoid but no diaphragms, the conversions look good and are selling well, I'm actually surprised at the amount of interest.

Thinking about one for use on the 645Z.

Thanks,

I don't have any experience with that one, but a quick google tells me that it doesn't cover medium format and that the flange focal distance the lens has would mean that it'd have to be mounted inside the camera, so no, I guess you won't be able to use one on your 645Z

Hi - a Leitz Primoplan doesn't get many goggly hits. But I have an adapted Leitz Dimaron 150 2.8. Maybe similar mount. The first thing to do is to test focusing distance by focusing something distant on a piece of paper. The focal plane of mine is well behind the lens leaving plenty of room for a bellows or equivalent Helicoid. The tube of my one is 60mm outer diameter. That was just the right size to bond a cheap non infinity (flanged) m42 to K mount adapter to. Ready to click onto a bellows unit and go for it.
PS welcome aboard
