BTW, the bassist in the group shot is the father of the saxophonist and pianist, and he sat in for just that one tune. Just in case you're wondering why it looks like two different people back there
Nice ones Mark!

Went for a walk in the park and took my 135M to practice my manual focus technique.

A snippet of overexposure in 1 and 3, but very nice. That lens has to be just about the best value for money of any Pentax lens available at the moment.

Well this thread has gone to the wayside for to long IMO. Keep posting guys!

Here's one to get it started again. Just a snap shot of a good buddy of mine in extremely harsh light with the M 85mm, but hey it gives me an excuse to bump this thread to the top

Thanks! Great shots by the way Mark! Not my type of thing, but I can definitely respect them.

Here's another "snapshot" from the M 85mm @ F/2.8.

and respective 100% crop:

OK, I'm in...

so I finally got my first Pentax M series.
After seeing many shots by mainly jsherman, I decided I won't need to save for K85 and took the "risk" with the underdog... M85/2 that is. Oh boy did it pay off!
I'm loving this lens.
here are few shots from my first outings. Mostly at f2

Nice street shots! I try and contribute as much as possible with my older lenses here on the forum so people can get a decent idea of them. I know i don't do them nearly justice, but I like to think they are still decent despite being snapshots

Im glad we have another more than capable forum member with this lens to make it shine in a way I cannot.

Thanks Jsherman, we appreciate it! I owe you 100% for making me get my first LBA bug, which was for the M 85mm. Now its on my camera more than any two lenses combined.

Well they are simply quick shots of friends/random people so yeah... they aren't artistic by any means.
