Not digital, but here is a shot taken with the M200/4 which was either f/4 or f/5.6:




Actually, here is one taken on digital that was probably f/5.6:




It's a decent lens. Quite sharp especially at f/5.6 and up. Really nice 'M series' rendering. However I would rate the M135/3.5 slightly higher as it's a touch sharper again and a bit more of a useful focal length IMO.

Both the 135/3.5 and 200/4 are good value - there's enough around to ensure the prices are quite reasonable.

Hi Sam, Had 2 copies of M200/4, 1st from ebay seller was clouded up with fungas
would'nt mount or use. Exchanged that to Keh for another.

Was superseeded and sold for k200/2.5 I picked up.
really like m200/4, little soft wide open, neck down just half stop and it really sharpens
up. Handling is just terrific, about three quarter throw in/out. very well dampened.
Didnt have too long, little bit I did, was very impressed. could'nt pass up 200/2.5 tho
Winter wren earlier this year was at f/5.6, dont know why, but never felt like I needed
to enable SR with it. A very solid lens

Hi Sam, Goddo has good point about 135 vs. 200, both fine pieces, wider field of view
with 135 big asset. Dont really know much about m75-150.
Was cleaning up the "attic" on hard drive, found this from couple months ago
from M*300/4 & F1.7xAF on k20

Does anyone out there have any pics to post from the M 75-150 zoom?

This was shot on Kodak HD200 with the 70-150. It's a very nice lens. Testing at f/11 I found it as sharp as the K 85-210/4.5 and perhaps, maybe, a tad better than the A 70-210 at 70mm. Can't comment on wide open as I almost never shoot zooms wide open.

I have been lusting after that M* 300

Had to wait awhile for mine Jason, people seem somewhat shy about lack of "A"
info. with it, and it is kind of clunky to use. for that reason, think your wait will be
short and sweet. Looking foward to day you 'hook up' with one.

post from the M 75-150 zoom?

Hey sam, have that A70-210 John mentions, cant compare to 75-150, but do feel
he's correct about softness at short end with it(70-210) have had that 27 years
and always felt it little soft at that end. thinking about it, makes m75-150
somewhat interesting

New to this forum and rather new to Pentax equipment (1.5 years).

I currently own 3 Pentax-M lenses
35/2.0 - My favorite, normal lens on my K20D, sharp at 2.0, razor sharp at 4.0.
50/1.4 - Could be my copy, but the lens, although beautifully mechanically made, is extremely soft at 1.4, still soft at 2.0 and really getting sharp above 2.8. I use it from time to time, but it fell from grace once I got the 35/2.0
150/3.5 - very pentax-like to make this bizare focal-length lens (for 35mm system). Got it because I wanted a telephoto and was/is on a very tight budget. Contrast is a bit lacking and pictures are often washed-out, but once I got to know its limitations, it gives me a lot of reach for $80.
